Why Learn Chinese – Why Choose Mandarin
Of the many dialects of the Chinese language, Mandarin has been the ‘official’ dialect of Chinese since 1913. Mandarin is considered to be the basic Chinese language.
Standard Chinese is based on the Mandarin dialect spoken in Beijing. Yet, please do not be mistaken, there are many Mandarin dialects.
All of the areas in China have strong regional identities. I certainly would not want to offend individuals coming from any area besides Beijing, who may not consider Mandarin to be a language that defines a particular region of China. There are different Mandarin dialects, also.
Suffice to say that now, in the 21st Century, westerners are happy to celebrate their newer and long-term relationship with Chinese business – and people!
That is why we are happy to help you learn CHINESE IN BUSINESS so you can get ahead, and enjoy all aspects of your relationship with China and all the individuals you encounter there, or at your home area.
Why Learn Chinese
An amazon.com reviewer says:
“Chua promotes what has traditionally worked very well in raising children: strict, Old World, uncompromising values–and the parents don’t have to be Chinese. What they are, however, are different from what she sees as indulgent and permissive Western parents: stressing academic performance above all, never accepting a mediocre grade, insisting on drilling and practice, and instilling respect for authority.”

I am not recommending this book because of any political persuasion. But it may give you, or anyone, the perspective on China, and the idea, WHY LEARN CHINESE.
